Sir Ian Botham is known to millions around the world as one of the legends of English cricket.
Almost as legendary are his achievements as a tireless fundraiser for Leukaemia Research. Sir Ian's inspirational efforts on our behalf have received world-wide recognition and he was knighted. in 2007. He also became President of Leukaemia Research back in 2003, an honour bestowed on him by our Patron, HRH The Duke of Kent.
Sir Ian has now completed 11 walks, raising £millions and he hasn't hung up his walking boots yet! In October 2008 he will be setting off on his next walk: Beefy's Great British Walk.

Sir Ian’s golf series follows on from last year's runaway success. This year, Sir Ian will be hosting three golf days in stunning locations, and once again will be joined by a number of celebrities including Ronan Keating, Matt le Tissier, Jonathan Davies, Jamie Redknapp to name a few!
The Series will begin at Portmarnock Golf Club in Dublin on 30th June 2008.
The next stop will be on 2nd July at the Remedy Oak Club in Wimborne, Dorset.
The finale will take place at the legendary 6 star resort, Archerfields, near Edinburgh on 15th and 16th September 2008. Sir Ian Botham and his close friend Ronan Keating will be hosting this memorable weekend, which is sure to be an unforgettable and superb couple of days.
With a host of famous faces, including world-class sports stars, in world-class locations, these events are truly not to be missed by any golf enthusiast!
